9/9 Death Match action

Ken server
BlackHawkx made a big return to the list this evening landing the #1 spot with a score of 38874. KimuRa rose from #5 to #4 by improving his score from 28753 to 33986. SamBear entered the list at #5 with 30398. Monday and DUTCHPOWER were removed.

Dep server
Big changes this afternoon. TheEbonHand entered the list at #5 with 28505. DREAMWORKS entered at #6 with 28402. SwordMonkey made his debut at #7 with 28323 and finally Tommy entered at #8 with 26482. These fresh faces knocked Tuscani, WindeyeR, YaKuZaKHAN and PERDITI0N off the list.

In the evening, the people on the list stayed the same, but some internal movements were made: KnightRyDuZ upgraded his score from 35869 to 36128, further insuring his #1 spot. Banishing skipped from #9 to #5 by improving from 25887 to 28536.

the reason that the DM wasnt as good as i thought was because the demon spawned only a couple mins before the DM was supposed to start. i saw lineagekhan mamamia and tuscani hauling butt up the tower to end him. imagine if Zeferoth (h2ombre????), tuscani, knightryduz, mamamia, and lineagekhan were all in the same dm hehehe.... and neo told me he lag too much in europe (poor guy) so he prolly wont participate alot.

Every DeathMatch has a DK in it in dep. DK hav to fite against other DKs so yes i guess it takes skills... and DreamWorks is also a DK >< so shush~ new topic ~

but dang he has one of the best ac in game if not the best and hes level 52 with dk morph and he has a +8 or 9 b-tsu....and there were other players that were N O T H I N G compared to him in the tornament that placed higher? Well I don't know how in the hell NC is ranking all these people, but i was just surprised hes not at the LEAST 3rd place...same goes for tuscani lineagekhan and xdacomeon...

#18 you get ranked by how much EXP u earn from all the mops during the tournament. the fact they didnt end the boss (ant queen on dep this morning) means they all missed a little chunk of exp also. i notice alot of times the 52+ chars run around alot more and find singled-out mops to kill, where i saw like bashaba taking a beating yet killing alot as well. mages wont get much exp therefore not be on the charts as much because they usually are leading mop around for the knights/elves to end them, meaning they only get partial exp also losing some for the summons that are eating away exp.

So your ranked by the amount of exp...That would mean the level 52 would get less xp b/c of the players high level than a lower level like level 40 would receive more xp b/c there lower level. The higher the level you are the less xp a monster will give you. The lower the level you are the more xp a monster will give you if not all... So I guess if you REALLY wanted to win is to get a level 40 character with awsome items...Well that seems a bit stupid to me...

drunken amount of exp doesnt mean % gained. and i am almost 100% sure that is is based on experienced gained. knightryduz got .1% for his #1 score and silverslicer got .08% for his score. look it up on the experience charts. you'll see those %'s match their scores.

I'm not talking about the percentage of the amount of exp you have to get to level 53. I'm talking about how much exp points you get from a mop is affected by the level you are. The higher level you are the less exp points you get the lower the more you get. So that would mean if a level 52 killed 1 astiago and a level 40 killed 1 astiago. The level 40 would get MORE xp then the level 52 b/c of the exp updates they always be doing. Dreamworks and TheEbonHand, clearly Dreamworks killed more mops, since he's has DK morph, level 52, +2 stats, +5 bonus damage(gain +1 damage every 10 levels) instead of +4, +17 to hit(1 to hit every 3 levels) compared to +16 or +15, also dex bonus, one of the best ac in game if not the best,and a better weapon than TheEbonHand, but Dreamworks is Higer level than theebonehand that would mean dream would have to kill more mops than ebon to get the same amount of xp. Again, I'm not talking about the % you need to level. I talking about the bigger numbers unless your killing a goblin...Well, I'm talking about the experience points you get for killing monster not the % for a level.

Looks like Tweak needs to go find a dictionary and look up "speculation"

EXP nerf was not speculation, it was experimentation.

Higher level mops is something Ruben found by taming mops and what Melantus confirmed -- not speculation.

DM points being the experience gained is what most people guess because it makes the most sense. This is "speculation".

Soft AC, I guess you threw that one in there because you didn't have enough examples. =P

my guess would be on how u get rated is each monster has a certain XP from it
Salamander has 1011 XP so kill 30 salamanders get 30k points (who knows)

dont matter what lvl you are u gonna get the same EX from it if u lvl 40 or 52 u get same EX but for lvl 52 just takes more so the more high lvl monsters u kill in DM the better the rating

I found this reading to be very fun, since i was around... maby not at this stage of the game but a few years ago. i think this news is from the old korean beta server 4 years ago... man were IK in the game as early as alpha test or what!?

Hehe. I remember those days. Its wierd that parts of IK's sight are still up. Those were the days being chased by werewolves and pk on talking island. Having to wait in town for Hp to regen since there were no pots....
I'm glad those days are over. With the exception of the fact that the admins would actually appear in the game from time to time as elders and actually interact with people.
Back in those beta days what were the best I have been trying to remember for such a long time. Weren't tsu's and cpm around back then?

It's because while DREAMWORKS ran around trying not to get hit in circles, TheEbonHand stood his ground and used some pots to fight monsters. Sure, DREAMWORKS would own TheEbonHand with better everything, but it's also how much you're willing to take dmg from mops (and AC doesn't really matter in DM in the sense that if you already have -6x AC or higher, you can keep up with clears)

I can't wait to see these two in action again! DM was definitely an awesome idea NC.... now can we get rid of soft ac and stop nerfing all mages so much? T_T

OK two things...

First off. Grats Blackhawkx... You are the freakin man!!!!
I would love to know how you manage to get into every DM though... =)

Regardless you rock!

Secondly and off topic. It was kind of cool to check out the old links to Lineage back in '98... With Bugbears and Shelobs being described as high level hunting grounds and +6 COPs being described as godly AC... =)

Something did strike me though... It was this line... From November 10th, 1998 (almost FOUR years ago)...

"Finally the inventory was fixed. Now when you restart the items will be at the same position as before you left the game. "

It's a shame that this is STILL an issue here on our version of Lineage when you D/C.
