Korean Server Stats: PK counts

It may come as a surprise to people that less than 8% of Korean players have a PK count of 1+. Or perhaps that less than 2% of players on the Korean servers have a PK count of 11+. In the latest GM post (https://bbs.lineage.co.kr/lineage/bbslito/list/gmnotify/threadview.asp?group=lineage&bbs=gmnotify&bid=48&lview=1&refbid=48&page=1) on the offical Korean Lineage website, they list the % of players with PK counts in a certain range. (Only level 15+ players were counted)

What's your PK count?

Well then i guess this just shows the american way. lol Im sure out pk counts are a ton higher then that. Koreans getit together you have to get more vicious in this game... Nothing like takeing a walk in coi around Ti when a small innocent mage or elf comes out with his dogs for a stroll and then yell OFF WITH HIS HEAD.... and slaughter him....... maybe thats just my opinion

yea loa sux for pking, id let my pk count get higher but im tryin to keep it at 20 cuz of hell t.t damn hell to hell!

sacreddingo, you have to remember, they have many more people than us so 1% there is 200 people compared to like 1% here being 10 people

and then alot are lower because people have 3 chars but only pk w/one...etc, they should have done how many accounts have a pk char w/pk count over blahblah....instead of characters

I wonder what their test server numbers are like. The US test, I would think, probably has a higher average PK count than the US live servers (DEP and LOA). So I would bet that the Korean test also has higher PK counts as well.

PPikkachu has a PK count 1500+
almost all the sol/paldo DKs are 50+

PK counts on korean server are low i think cause they have a character for pk and one for lvl...
just my guess though

just remember when u die u lose 1 pk count and in korea server many fights and of cours they gotta die so prob lose many and didnt poseidon when he hit 58 interview said he had like 400+ pk count and that he hated pks well by the looks of gunter server not many pks..........

anyways dep has add many huge pk count ppl like: sharparrows,ppikkachu,brutus aka yourvlover,xdapunisher,artofwar,IK,MageQueen,ALLIN,and iam sure paldo/sol dks got more than 100 cause every fight they gotta kill like at least 10 ppl and they die like once every tons of fights..

my knight got pk count 87 and elf is over 100....but thats nothing to the pks i mention up there.

It embarasses me that Ppikkachu could have such a high pk count. I've "bragged" about this many times and I'll do it again. A few months ago I made a mage, I had +5 SOM, full ac set, and I was level 13~18 or so and hunting big wasteland. Ppikkachu comes out of coi at chao temple, cone of cold's my mage a few times while I'm pumping a few oj's and then he teleports away when my 3 level 9 huskies reach him. I'm embarassed that he is able to kill 1500+ people but venzed from my newbie huskies, controlled by my newbie mage.
No offense to the people that he's killed, but I'm assuming he just caught you off guard and with low hp, as that could happen with anyone... But he is weak overall, and I apologize for bragging but this is not my intention. I'm just letting people know that he's friggin weak...

Korea has less PKing because they concentrate more on leveling, and they probably don't have petty feuds with everyone on the server. Some people on dep are just ALWAYS fighting. Look at Korea's server... They work together and level like hell... They Account share, sure, but still, grow up, stop fighting, and level up. =]

I agrea about ppikkachu, he got a ton of people by hiding in orc poly in elven dungeon and waiting for noobs or for people to stop and regen. I have had many PK deaths due to legitimate PK'ing, but he is just a nerd, so that death is just a joke...it was my fault, but there was no honorable fight like with my other deaths due to pk'ers.

Shinoda he is a little wuss, if you hit him AT ALL he will venz. he started CoC me and i shot him back once and he venz so fast i couldnt believe it o_o; only way he kills ppl is when he catches them off guard adn while they are hitting a ton of mops..

i'm sure the korean users find many hacks/cheats and make good use of them to avoid being pked. users that have been around for a while are very aware that they exist. :) during fights etc.. if ur hp gets low enuf it auto hits ur hotkeys...pumps pots for u and even tph when needed.

i'm assuming u won't find as many 'racial' fights on their home servers either.

most the people if not all the peiople he pks are newbs who dont even know what a teleport home scroll is...
Ive seen him try pk me before so boring, i was on my newb knight +7rap -5xac(not sure) lvl 23, in mlc and he pops out of coi or invisi and start coc me while im killing skeles -_-;; i stop hitting skels and turn to him hit him like 6times or so and he ends...

the reason why the pk count on korean server is so low is because...if your not VERY STRONG or a VERY STRONG PLEDGE...your going to end up getting yourself killed many times over...remember that all of the korean servers is a LOT more crowded than ours...and i mean a LOT more...and everyone there plays a LOT...so everyone is stong or very strong...on average...unlike the US server...the strength of everyone is very spread out...very weak from very strong...on average...and also a lot less people on the server...

Racial fights? Ppl fight over dropped adena or someone yapping too loudly out someone else or b/c they have superiority complex. Just log onto their servers and find out if they dont have alot of fights. Im guessing that they'll.

Sometimes the only way to beat the drum and bring some fun into a game again after times of absolutely no new gaming content is to start a new goal/adversity. Our server fights are 99% of the time not racially related but just sometimes ppl with big mouths and baser morals and virtues are heard louder than others. It is a game but one that is inhabitted by ppl and they do what they do best which is to be themselves and especially when they can remain anonymous.

Several facts can explain the low pk counts.

Player killing is not profitable. If a player is ended by another player, any items that would have dropped are destroyed, not dropped.

Killing a player while not full lawful, and with a pk count greater than 98, will send a player to hell for a base time of 300 seconds (time increases with higher pk count). A character coming out of hell will likely be level 10, with a pk count of 0.

Players no longer drop items when ended by other players because NC wanted to keep a 15+ age rating on their pvp servers. This is also why they took out dog and slime racing on Korean servers.

nono LoA is great PK server.

my tactic is like this:

make INT/WIS/CON mage , get wizard cap and skeleton boots and hit level 12 so u get that extra SP but still are able to go to Si , go to SI get Atuba orc morph for 100a , and hide behind a tree in the north of ti, if u see a lvl1-20 player( besides elf) walking by, keep hitting with ebolt ..

now i know this is common tactic used by many pk noob mages, Like myself...

now a good tactic is also to gather some other lvl1-12 PK mages and hide with 4 plp behind a tree...that way u can end lvl 4x knights/mages/princes easely but starting a fight with an elf is not recommended cuz of their MR...

You have to be stupid or something. Ppikkachu is not his real character. His real character is pretty strong. With Ppikkachu he uses no ac, or weapon. Just COI, and F4. Ppikkachu is just a pk mage, that's it. He doesn't level it, or fight with it (besides PKing).

Ppikkachu was built for his style of pking. If he gets too hurt, he'll venz of course. He catches people off guard, and kills them. It's called strategy. It may be dirty, but he has picked up a lot of good items, trust me.
