Poseidon - level 66
Playforum checked in with Poseidon, the highest level Lineage character worldwide. He is currently at level 66.02 with 912 HP and -77 AC.

However, Poseidon is a bit frustrated. By all counts, he should be at level 69 by now. What seems to be the problem? There is yet *another* soft cap at level 65. In fact, experience required to get from 65 to 66 is double that of any level up between 50 and 65. He realized the issue when it took him 13 hours of playtime to get 1%. He gave up for a few days in frustration, but it certainly takes a long time. Level 65 to 66 took him 57 days.

Since level 65, each hunt takes 4 braves, 3 haste, a Wand of Polymorph and 290 reds. After 20 of these hutns, he gains 1%. His grand total for one level is 31M in supplies. He uses a +10 tsurugi.

Poseidon also gave +6 to CON, which he regrets because he didn't know about the upcoming DEX/AC update, otherwise he would have transferred points into DEX.

His goal is to get DEX 18 and reach level 70 and try to 1:1 Fafurion again. He tried at level 65, but he died. After DEX 18, he's going to work on WIS 18 for an increased MR.

How strong is Poseidon? He dueled a level 54 knight, both hasted and braved, but Poseidon was not morphed and the level 54 knight was in Death Knight morph. Poseidon won by 200HP.

When he contacted NC about this newly discovered soft cap as well as his concerns (which you may have heard about earlier) that a STR above 25 doesn't let him carry any more, NC pointed out two things:

  1. Not only is there a double in the experience table at level 65, but there is another double at level 70, and another double *every 5 levels* from 65 up.
  2. Your stats have no effect beyond 25. That means that a 30 STR character hits just as hard as a 25 STR character.

Any strength beyond 25 is meaningless? Then that means that a str 20 knite with str spell to make him 25 then that is the max which means if he has a power glove, then the power glove is nothing.....rite?

Power Glove will be only useful to con knites then.

Blessed Elven items used to come from Shelobs and Ungoliants around the beginning of the Depardieu server. Some people, like Poseidon still have old ones they've kept. I think the Exp needed to Level up should always get higher. It doesn't make any sense that it's all the same up to 65.

I thought I would mention that strength still has effect if its over 25. My tests indicate that every 2 STR increases damage by 1 on average. Although using a dex elf with +7 yumi the 2 STR given by the power glove increased damage by an average of over 5 per hit! (10 hits with bracer: 75-90 damage/ 10 hits using p-g: 130+ damage - elf was 18 dex base and dex/str/enchant weapon for both tests).

I believe what was meant is that you cannot increase your base stat above 25 (All base stats are capped at 25).

omg... according to amers attributes section:
-he has a carrying capasity of 3750, which makes him capable of carrying 468 reds... o.O
-he gets a +5 dmg bonus bcuz of his str... O.o
-at the time he has full dex, lev 77, he'll have a total ac bonus of -19... o.O

i have 25str with pg but when enchanted is 30str and lets me carry more pots.. so i'm confused 25base? or what? shouldn't be a cap on any stat.. i agree with lvling being slowed which causes the adding to stat slow down b/c of slow lvling. but why cap it? then there is no point of playing when all stats max. unless u looking to just lvl? i think something should be done but just my opinion...:)~

it means, if u enchant urself to 30str, and 1:1 a 25str character, both hit the same dmg against each other..
so..as someone in the previous post says...
str knight: 20str + p-g (2str) + str enchant (+5str) = 27str (but only 25str counts)
con knight: 16str + p-g (2str) + str enchant (+5str) = 23str
so...str knight vs con knight is 25str vs 23str, which is con knight wins most of the time in duels but remember that in castle sieges ppl cancel you so u cant use enchants so...:
str knight: 20str + p-g (2str) = 22str
con knight: 16str + p-g (2str) = 18str
so it's 22str vs 18str when they both get canceled and that i think the one with the most pots will win instead, either str or con...

24con...omg...i wonder how much hp he gain upon lv up...20? 25? o.O

The reason the lvl 60 guy had -81 ac and pos has -77 is cause pos has 15 dex and the other guy had 18 so he had full dex bonus of -15 ac at lvl 60. where as pos would have -16 ac bonus FYI

Ok i dont think this is right. The advantage to being a Str knight is the head start u have on Str.. The advantage of Con knight u have a advantage (head start) with hp/con. All this cap is saying is ok a str knight gets 25 on stat and sits and waits for a con knight to get 25str and both hitting the same now. but a str knight will never catch up in hp..? so does that sound like the game is balance? If Nc caps str why not cap everything else like HP MP CON STR or why dont Nc just say ok welcome to Lineage u can be a mage knight elf prince and everyone starts with the same stats and u add what u want? that way it will be more balance.. with this there is no point of chosing your stat if the other person will be just as good or better than you.. Plz Amer or someone let NC look into this and corrected.. It will be a unbalance if 2 characters are at same level but one was handycapped for chosing the wrong Character from the beggining.. :)~ thx

Yes, I can clear of of this up. This is DaLazyProdigy here as you all know me and since I understand what Nc is doing here i will gladly explain it. First of all let me explain what happens when you have more than 25 BASE str. You will not be able to carry less items or hit less harder than a 30 BASE str. knight. However, if you are a 25 BASE str. knight and you use +5 enchant str spell, It will make you hit harder and carry more because it isn't your base stats. Why is this? It's like this, If you have a +10 tsurugi and you enchant weapon on it, It's still a +10 weapon except you've increased ur varied damage for a certain period of time, but has no effect on the weapon itself. Just like enchanting your strength it works the same way. Now that this is cleared you guys can stop worrying.

oh and knights arent gettin screwed it is beyond 25 BASE str con wis int cha that they dont work and its not just str so if you say knights get screwed why not say you get screwed, elves get screwed and princes get screwed ALL stats have a cap and its a BASE cap so if you have 25 base pgs and str spell still help and im not sure anyone in america will soon want to go over 25 base...

cus 18 + 2[pg] and + 5[str spell] = 25 :)!
oh.. and wizsnake u cant summon 4 mops with 9 cha only 2....so u wrong.. 0.o

know, which i think u dont) thats 10 cha, and 18 con 18 wiz your mage is storng,
however, after stupid cha/6, i summon only 2(!) bug bear kings!
i think u should check what u publishing b4 u do, because the things u write
make u sound preatty stupid..

Amir i was talking before the update if you have kbb satan why u whining? 2 kbb would kill 4 bb and i am a knight but the cap is for EVERY STAT that means wiz int con str and dex! AND ITS BASE i dont think many people will be gettin 25 BASE str thats B A S E so if you have 25 BASE your pgs and str spell STILL AFFECT and its not only str once again its all stats so if u think im gettin screwed so are you! and bsides im a con knight

btw guys on test I've already killed antharas valakas and fafurion 11 times and i kill them as soon as they spawn each time. They aren't that tough on test because they only do about 50 damage for spells and cast slower, which is wierd.

i guess con beyond 18 has little or no effect to hp gain per level...since:
912 - 20HP from orc ammy - 50HP from belt = 842HP
842HP - 16HP from lvl 1 = 826HP
826HP / 65 Lvls = 12.71hp/lvl
