12/13 - LoA Server Publish Announcement

The following items have been published to the Lands of Aden Open Beta Server at 10:30am US Central time on December 13:

Giant Soldier Ant and Giant Ant morphs have been enabled
Added the Forgotten Island, a high level hunting area. Enabled the ticket seller NPC 'Isvall' near the Heine wharf.
Added a storage keeper inside the Orc Fortress.
Added weapon/armor enchanters to every castle hallway. Castle pledge members benefit from these NPCs without having to pay service charge.
Talass has been added to the Ivory Tower. He will craft the Bow of Sayha.
Detector has been added to the Ivory Tower.
Added Ring Crafters in Heine. They are located near the fountain. (Sarah and Benole)
Added ginseng as a drop in Elven Forest. It is a relatively rare drop. It functions as a haste potion.

Detector is the NPC which takes Ancient Scroll and Sealed Forgotten items and makes them unsealed.

I found ginseng yesterday on the ground of Elven Cave. Isnt ginseng suppose to drop by mops or it grow on the ground???? or someone die and drop it lol

WILL ORC FORTRESS GET A WEAPON/ARMOR ENCHANTER TOO?

I suppose there is no castle hallway, so the answer
must be NO ?!

What about the Cave of the Fire Valley Iron Gate?
Do they get a Weapon/Armor Enchanter?

Ring makers in Heine are so you don't have to send
an under <10 character to SI/HV just to make a ring.
Of course, it's all nonsense since the Metal needed
for rings only drops on noobie islands...

I suppose when new jewely is introduced into game
they will already have the craftsman ready. So far
I have not heard anyone on LOA getting an Orc Amulet.
Kinda Suks, don't it...

Ginseng = Haste... oh how original (sarcasm)

#8 those pretty shitty newbie items are actually kinda nice, I don't think I'll ever buy i-b for my elf O.o Not even when he's lvl 48+... It's just nice to have haste always, not because it's cheaper, but just because u don't have to go back to store for nother haste pot...

and those NEW items and NEW quests aren't the only differences between LoA n Ken/Dep...

U also:
- only lose 5-6% exp when u die (which means lvl 50+ ppl only have to hunt a half week instead of a week to get it back O.o)
- have no soft ac for elf, mage n prince (so it's actually usefull for a mage to get some ac...)
- there's snow n rain!!! makes u very depressive :) (the rain)
- there are new bosses in elven dungeon, 3 new ones
- and dragons will be easier!!!! (we might even be able to kill em o.o)

I hope NC continues making new quests for LoA only! mwuahaha
Quests are fun, more fun then hunting 24/7 w/o any reason T.T

Yes They did add enchanters to Orc Fortress. they also added a storage orc there. I know becasue we were controling Orc Fort when they added it.

Metal for the ring does drop outside of hv and si. Lizardmen drop it... So do hobgoblins sometimes.

orc fort suks it just drains ur money...paying for the fort is not worth it when all the money u get is from slime races...
if asher(or w/e his name is in orc fort) would send his profits to orc fort, you might come out EVEN at best

Any mop that drops iron now seems to have an equal chance of dropping metal. Dwarves and Dwarf Warriors in Oren are dropping both iron and metal. (This does make iron a little harder to get.) Ginseng will be used in future elven crafting recipes. (Elven Boots of Speed anyone?) It also fills in a gap, since haste potions were the one basic consumable for which there was no elven equivalent. Now we will see how many LoA folks are really above level 45 by who reports going to FI. There are two Ringmakers in Heine: one makes the plain ring and one makes the 4 newbie rings, just like in SI and HV. I expect this will be broadened to include middle-level rings later on, with larger resource requirements.

they're adding garbage for newbies
3 new bosses....oh wow.....they don't drop anything else different from what regular bosses drop....so.....not that big of a difference considering the high lvl players will camp them anyhow...
now that they put g-h pots, ain't that difficult to carry two of them for a hunt
soft AC...from what I played on LOA...like what #15 said....lesser extent....knights will still own the server in the end...
snow and rain! OMG!!! like I give a shit!! has no effect at all and quite pointless....

dragons will be like what NC said...easier so a big group can knock them out and they would drop much less of course...good thing in a way....but once a pledge is able to kill it...well...camp there 24/7 and grab all the drops from the dragon like what happened on live servers....reason they changed the difficulty (though I think they made it too hard...)
I can see NC changing the lvl 30 quests that r soon to come to shitty more newbie-like items for LOA

can't forget....they made the server for new players...and what players want...
can't expect too much....
so they will continue making more and more newbie items to make new players happy....
and LOA will become like what NA servers r known for...
we gotta wait like a couple of weeks to get updates from korea...
LOA waits an extra week or two...
always behind from dep/ken...

can't wait to see the first lvl 50 knight on LOA...then the next one....
the server gets filled with them...
and all u can do is "he has no life" "he cheated! he has multiple users" "he is weak"

one good thing LOA did
more peaceful hunting for my sake on normal servers
but I know that will change in a month....and be back to normal...

AND it's great that u can actually end dragons u know...
I dun care if they get camped, still better then the strenght of ken/dep dragons...

u're having fun and enjoy playing....

I'm only jealous of those lvl 50+ chars on any server....
but I don't diss them unless they did something bad to me in the game...

easy! so the ac u lose with skel boots is ok for elf (n for wis/int mage too I think)

btw... a friend made +4skel boots b4 wipe, but I heard it works like bone set... now was he: A. very luck

I played dep during beta,i played test after beta,now i play LoA and do u know what K-ZS-M ??? It's the only server where i have so much fun for the moment.
Have u tryed at least the server befor talking crap about it ???And also NC hasn't finished updating new stuff that dep and ken will never have so i think it's a bit too early for u to upon ur mouth.
And the new bosses do drop something new... ori plates so that elves can spend less time hunting for rough/fq/fungus

A. Skell boots have always blown like bone items...i blew mine first shot before the wipe.

B. Skell boots are nice but only till you can afford +i-boots

C. Please talk all the crap you want about loa. the less people that play it the better~
