Korean Servers - hundred millionaires...

NC posted a chart (https://bbs.lineage.co.kr/lineage/bbslito/list/gmnotify/threadview.asp?group=lineage&bbs=gmnotify&bid=47) of the people with the most money on the Korean servers. There are actually 50 people with over 100M adena!

They gave a few examples of what you could do with 100M adena, here are a few to get an idea of how much money that is:

At 37a per Lesser Healing Potion (reds), you'd have enough money to pump potions for ~2.7M seconds continuosly or approximately 1 month!
You could buy about 3,333 Scroll of Enchant Armor, which is enough to statistically guarantee you 11 +8 elven armor (and a few left over +7s) if you made them all yourself.
You could buy about 1,333 Scroll of Enchant Weapon, which is enough to statistically guarantee you 16 +8 weapons with 2 +7s left over.

hmmm 9 n-dais could make a +9 wep when you look at these stats for 100mill it looks stupid ><

Also you wouldnt be spending that much money you would be spending the total of 100million - the elven armor +8 price *atm 4mill* which is 44 million take from the total = 66 million spent then with the 44million you could make around 10mill of it back again o.o weird maths

I think that is a typo and should be:

you would probably make more than that.. or mabye even less depends.. But they do it based on like 30 or 40 % of them will go +7 than 25% of those will go +8 than like 13% of those go +9 or mabye im not sure exactly on the percentages but its around there i think.. But i doubt that.. with 1111 dais you would make at least 10 +9's i say. would only be worth it to blow tsu's though... And these guys MUST have +11tsu or higher. lots of people got like +13's. its crazy.

I know 1 person who had alot of adena at once. 68m on ken server.. im not saying who but that was just in adena.Didnt sell all his items either thats with his items. But not anymore.

Also these guys are able to end dragons on korean servers(i think) and that makes you alot of money

and guess what i figured id probably get at LEAST one +9 weap statistically but turns out that I didnt even make ONE +8. No +8 out of 27 weapons. made 6 +7's which all blew. what a jip. i wish i had a statistical guarantee -_-!!!!!!

wow - 6 posts in and someone already botched up the article.
It is 1,333 Dais. not 1,111. and it's 16 +8 weapons, not 4. You guys must have sucked at the game Telephone back in grade-school.

anywho... 100mil... that is beyond my comprehension. Completely. I don't think I will ever see that kind of cash in my inventory, liguid or otherwise.

it said 1333 dais if u buy it for 75000 each
and 3333 zels if u buy it for 30000 each
2,702,703 reds if u buy 37 adena each and it takes
2,702,703 seconds -> 45,045 mins -> 750 hours -> 12 days nonstop drinking

hah, that's crazy.. The most I ever had on US Test at one time in straight adena was ~45m. To think someone has 100m on a live server is just insane!

Christ, I hope none of you are math majors. If you are, you had better either drop school or drown yourself. I only say drown because it's the first method of ending yourself that comes to mind. Look, statistics may = magic to many of you, but I ASSURE you that it is PURE math. I have SPECIFICALLY asked CaptSturm to his face if any such thing as "lucky characters" exists and he assures me that they do not. Math does not lie. It does not have mood swings. It does not like you one day and then ditch you for the hot blonde it hooked up with on spring break the next.
If you make seventeen hundred... thousand... million +9 kats in a row, math is behind it. Albeit that won't happen for another trillion years, but it is mathematically guaranteed to happen sooner or later.
What a "statistical guarantee" MEANS is that the theoretical probability of such an event transpiring is 100%. Now it may happen or it may not, but assuming you go through that same number of test cases an infinite number of times, the ratio will approach the theoretical probability.

In response to Morticaelover, no. That is only thing purely guaranteed by math.
But could it be creepier to have stalkers on LinComp? I'm not sure... only time will tell.

1st of all, when you say "statistically guarantee " there really is no guarantee because its like playing the slots and trying to win the jackpot; each time you pull it you have the same chances (1:1000000 or something) so no matter how much money you put in, each time is exactly the same odds. And Foo's example proves this. You could end up with 10 +9 weapons or none, both are very unlikely but certainly not impossible.

And I'm not stalking you Mort, I'm just admiring your god-like body.

what you say is true morticae however only in the case that as the number of attempts approaches infinity, the probabilities of making a +9 weapon (1/9) = 0.11111111 = 11.1% will be true. however, since it is physically impossible to attempt to overenchant +6 weapons to +9 a number of times equal to a number that doesnt exist outside of theory, you cannot statistically guarantee anything in an applied medium using a probability only promised using theory alone.
