Level 52 Elf on Korean servers

We don't hear much about 50+ elves. Recently, one of the Lineage Playforum reporters named ChungSooAkma as "best player" on Eva server (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051003&kid=1209) in Korea and did a little interview. We translated for aspiring elves.

ChungSooAkma has been playing Lineage for about 3 years. His elf is a level 52 STR 18 elf that has -70 AC with only shield spell and he uses a +9 rapier. (It appears he chose +1 STR at level 51 and 52)
He died 19 times at level 49, twice at level 50 and once at level 51.
Since he's a STR elf, he doesn't have a lot of HP.
Level 48 took him 5 months. He feels that the levelling got much easier above 48, despite his trouble at level 49.
He likes DK morph and chose the fire magic path to concentrate in damage. He did not get owned 1:1 a DK knight. He starts the duel with cancel. ^^
He normally levels by hunting in DVC 5/6f and brings about 260 reds, 10 [greater] haste and 10 wafers.
His advice to elves deciding on their path: STR/CON elves should choose fire, DEX elves should choose wind and elves that specialize in support for team hunting should choose water.
He doesn't recommend STR elf -- it's just too hard to level up. He says STR elf is only effective if you already have great armor and a great weapon.

i wonder how long he last in dvc 5/6f

lvl 44 knight with 12 dex has 13 ER. lvl 52 elf with 13 dex has 10 ER? it must

Awesome.

I think he doesn't use ghaste. If he takes 10green and 10wafer that's 50minutes of hunting, that sounds more reasonable than 10ghaste which would be 2.5hrs. I think I'm gonna start lvling elf on DVC5/6 o.O

You have 9 ER from being level 36 and you started with 2 ER because your DEX is 12/13.

Dex elf better o.o and i tried hunting here wit reds its hard i tokk my brother and we bought 100 orange each =) good place for lvl up... but cost lots monney for WAFER and oranges pots... but in total we gain money.... 2hours we gain 1000k o.o we found mass tele and green scale (we went see antharus lol)^^

I am a wis elf.. WIS elfs are hard to level up, even with good ac and weaps, but get to level 32 / 40 and your laughing with a good heal and dex spell you'll be hunting for a while.

Wis Elves are super easy to lvl , I could greater heal myself so much. But I don't use Magic to enchant myself (I use Earth magic) I use it to slow , blind, and wb.

That is my point Lostheaven... I am level 38 currently and I can't wait for greater heal.. 18 wis chars ARE hard to level because all the mana is being wasted on using little crappy heals.

when I get greater THEN it's all fun and games, until two more levels I stick to my beliefe that wis 18 elfs are hard to level till 40, harder then my mage atleast.. crappy s.p and no mana spell means I have to conserve.. I only use blue pots when I get back to pledge house to get me hunting again.

But, wis elfs are so much fun ^_^ mages and thier eruptions barely even scratch.

Yeah Darkness works so often with me, I blind everything Basks, Yetis , fire mops , people , and all kinds of stuff. Slow works very often to , its a ton of fun.
Water at lvl 40 , has a heal all , unlike the Wizards who does a water down Greater Heal, an elf does a water down Full heal which is often times 150+ Hp. I was taking to 15 15 (Int, Wis) who uses Ess of Mp who gets 200+ hp on the heal all. You can group up and have fun.

Earth is my all time favorite though , -4 ac for 1 hour is nice.

o.O man i wanna duel that guy >.< only -60 ac base w/o shield, +8 yumi and 4xx hp i think i can take him... ill cancel him first then he'll cancel me then ill cancel him then well both die of canceling! o.O and wafers arent expensive its just the 'economically challenged' ppl that sell them....
foe (fruit of ent for those newbie ppl) are exactly like clears and therfore should go for ~500a, + the fairy dust which you can pick of the ground, wafers should go for bout 500-550a.
and ultimadragon ^ urs i would end you faster than donathon baley can run 10 meters \./~!!

o.O when lineage 2 comes out us US players are gonna be what koreans are now.... when some1 hits 50 itsa common happening.... a high lvl character wouldnt be lvl 50... ut yet... rather lvl 60... and we would have like ~-50 ac... wed have friggin -75 ac.... o.O and elves would be able to summon ettins..... ooooooooooo o.O and there will be many pks hahahaha and newbies would be like.... low lvl mops.... o.o

I just recently made an elf for the new up and coming update!!!! u guys know that elves will rule al after update. They keep makin it better and better for the good ol elves. and its about time we get a good update to bring us back in the game!!! just wait us elves will own u :).......muuuwahahahahaha!!! OchadO-dep server..... "dep.....or nothing"....also why is us dep players have plenty of 50+ and ken has only a few..... us dep players have to deal with pkers>.<

the reason more dep players go 50+ is that they want the lv 52 dk morph to hunt, to pk, to siege, and to war
it hit HELLA fast for a knight that u cant even pump oranges to keep ur hp up!
and with the pot delay thing...u better ven if u get hit by a dk knight!

i think u can siege/war in ken, but...ppl CANCEL u there o.o..so not that motivating as in pk-ing ur target not usually a mage that can cancel ^^

apparently you can change elements without penalty...all you need is the new crystals for the spells. you also lose all the spells (elven ones) that you had before. So you can just change elements if you don't like the one you were on before.

personally, i like con elf the best. at 50+ they can just add on to str or dex, while a dex or str elf cant increase their hp (well, you can, i guess if you equip hp belt and orc ammy, but so can a con elf and have even more hp). i had both con and dex elf, both of which were at a decent level, and my dex elf SUCKED compared to my con elf, so i deleted him. Most people think that con elf completely sucks with a bow, and at very low lvls (like under 10), they do. but very quickly, they start to improve. especially at lvl 32+, when they get the dex spell. my 18 con elf when on dex spell and with a boe has 19 dex. she isn't too bad with a bow at all. I use a bow to hunt fv, and do VERY well. also, she has enough hp to melee. dex elf can melee, but not nearly as well as a con elf. i use melee to hunt in caves. i just think that con elf is MUCH more versitile, and alot easier to level, since i can carry ALOT more then dex elf (i usually go out on hunts with 110+ oranges), and they have the best regen rate in the game (with e-c and con ammy, but i don't have a con ammy).

since i deleted my dex elf, i decided to start a mage. i haven't had a mage in a long time, and i just want to get a few different ppls opinions on what stats i should choose. I was thinking about making an 18str 18con mage, since they seem to do really well, but then i would have HORRIBLE magic, and that kinda defeats the purpose of even having a mage. what do you guys think i should make? sorry to go a little off topic.
