18 new spells were added to the Korean Test Server magic help files. We translated:

Level 1
Name: Holy Weapon
Alignment: Neutral
Cost: 10 MP/0 HP
Duration: 10 minutes
Target: PC or NPC
Effect: Makes weapon holy so undead damage is increased.
Level 2
Name: Decrease Weight
Alignment: Neutral
Cost: 20 MP/5 HP
Duration: 15 minutes
Target: Caster
Effect: Decreases weight of items.
Level 3
Name: Weak Element
Alignment: Neutral
Cost: 8 MP/0 HP
Duration: Immediate
Target: PC/NPC
Effect: Determines which element the target is most vulnerable to.

Name: Countermagic

Decay Potion : Target cannot use any potions for the duration.
Why not just make this spell then.

I can see it where you are out hunting and some mage cast this on you and you didn't realize it and you hit a FV Archer and his friends join in and you can't pump pots. Well it will be a quick death!

Mages have a new tool in sieges now. Weakness, Silence and Decay Potion will be used ALOT. Makes things much more interesting

one other thing .. it says 18 spells i see only 17...
Unless Mana Drain counts as 2
no i know why there making the mana staff suck.
With wiz pots, this, and Meditation... Fast MP regen..
oh no no MP to heal my self .. i'll have to wait 5 sec..
:( boohoo us cry baby mage still are not happy.
If any mage crys not I will ... Be pissed off!!

Wouldn't you need a rotc for greater mass tele, just like mass tele? Unless you're randoming ;)

Looks cool, gonna need another 10hotkeys and few million m-gems, combined with a large supply of mana pots to take advantage of it all.

that spells generally can be summarize as:
1) greater mass tele all newbies on skt/ti to dv and watch them all ven/die - -"
2) decay potion: good to use against knights, no more pumping pots keke...run knights keke
3) darkness....isnt that effect same as the current "blind" spell?....what's with that?..

Um for the mage spells there seems to be a lvl 3 spell missing.
If you go back to a new from 4/12/2002 12:11:53 PM ET ^^"
You'll see there are empty spaces. the # of mage spells goes with it almost perfectly. but there is one missing .. a lvl 3 spell.

hmmmmmm interesting. I have a few problems with these spells in terms of low lvl spells effectively being able to kill someone right away. Like the potion one???? Hello!!!???!!
I think the spells are cool. But they may need to be switched around to maintain a balance. Some may be better at higher lvls. As for darkness... I think it's an area effect spell not just target. Though it does say target up
there I'm sure it's area effect.
That greater mass teleport is going to be deadly during seiges... dang I can see new strategies emerging already. Of course being lvl 10... good luck finding it. Wonder how many dragons you have to kill to get it :)

amazing magic but shouldent decay potion be chaotic since u would use on a player during war/duel/seige/ or just pking.monster dont use potion well i havent seen them lately.cool magic though long way to go for these spells.

Is anyone even sure if these spells are for mages or the elves but it looks like the mages HEHEHEHEHEHE. OOOOOOO i can see it now placing magic traps in front of a castel and the new mp stuff looks REALLY nice now mages dont have to wait as long for our mana ad with a few mg we will rule everyone! mwahahahahaha ok I was honestly going to quit but now im all reved up for this im making a mage today and trying to get at least to level 24 by the time of our update since it will be a while and I will get as many magics as possible. This will so even out the mage and make it fun. Its awfully hard u know for mages to hunt becasue of the annoying problem of mana but now with meditate and wis pot and in a hotel room we regen to fast hehehehehe to much FUN. Im gonna enjoy this episode and I wil enjoy it even more if mids can also hunt in there hehehehehe.

Meditation-->junk, use inn if you want regen and not moving >.<
decay pot, will never hit server i think. too powerfull(outside if it has a big chance to fail)
greater mass tele:we will never see it, too usefull for griefplay :-)

these spells are awsome my mage will kick ass now,
but they should decrease the decay potion time a bit, to like 30 or 10 seconds, thats a bit of an unfair spell or make it very hard to be casted successfuly

9/10 of these spells we will never here from again, lol. Decay potion will only be good in seige and PK server..and all those spells like g-mass tele and decay potion..probably 100x rarer then rotc from bapho

I can also see Change Position being quite useful in seiges. Also, the Magical Mine spell I could see as a problem on the test server. With all the magic gems there, I can see mages casting that spell EVERYWHERE.

Hmm..
Level 48 elf - 24% MR + 25% (class bonus) MR = 49% MR. Add ONLY a +8 B-COMR = 75% MR. Cast the level 1 resist magic spell = 85% MR...
Oh and that wis+5 spell might bring it up to 100% MR^^...

Ok I half wantand dont want the episode to come soon. I dont want it to come soon so that i will already have a level 24 mageand I will be able to get all those spells right away. And I want it to come soon well becasue of these spells this will b awsome although even as a mage I dont like the decay pot. I think it sould have a 50% chance to hit and only work for 15 secs caue we wil already hurt bad with these new things hehehehe I can just see mages minin up the entire ground like a min field in a casteland stuff then when a attacking pledge hits the field...........BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!. There all dead or have like 3 h left then mages FB em once and they all die I bet everyone will ow see an increase o elves and mages in ths update.

If alot of these spells make it too episode 11 update i will start playing again. I quit when i was missing ww with som....at lvl 48.........But meditate, think about it, when your in a siege, near the end there is no more mp left to steal, faster regen will certianly be helpful for seiges. Useless for hunting tho unless u have coi.

ok it is disgusting,but look at what it takes to cast 60 mp and its a lvl 9 spell! yes it can be used to great effect but, i dont think str mages are gunna be a problem with this,as most pk mages are str mages and they have poor sp.but oh well ,we will wait and see.

OMG! these spells are soooo sweet. The mine field one will be quite interesting for seiges indeed. And as for decay potion, i think it should stay in because its very rare and very costly to cast (probably fails a lot too). These spells are so sweet :> and one more thing, i think the difference between darkness and curse:blink is that if blind is casted on u, you can drink a red and ur fine again but i think darkness blinds u and not even clears will help. Just my theory. But again, spells are sooooo sweet!

All of these spells cant make it into the game. Greater mass tele just has too much grief potential.

At least a few of them are probably just more eye candy for the website to lure players in.

I want NC to just activate everything like allthe spells and armor and quests o and u knights better not complain decay potion ths and decay potion that the dk set and demon set have got to hold a few nice things. I just think NC should drop all of their stuff into the servers and then fix it all up after not fiddel and spend a month discussing soemthing as simple as the dex/ac bonu. Even if the new spells al make it it will be a year. They take long ewnough for just simple things think about ne spells ohhhhh so sfcary could make the game unstable the say. But really just by holding everything back they make the game unstable. and im threatening tomess up linbeage by using wand ofcreate mop in the new player areas until the place is so congested that the second a newb starts they die.

Why are u so worried about killing newbies?
If they loose exp with few goblins/weres will gain ther 10% again, and the only thing they can drops is a bone armor!!!
Mages aren't better than knights... only differents
Knights can buy scrolls of spells... mage get much more damage from mops than knights do! Great mass tele... 120 MP!! u can cast it 4 times if u have 480 MP! and mp regen rates are not so high enought... pot decay is the same as paralize.. but u can still move... and use teleport home! so why u so worried? POT DECAY isn't the same as DIE!!

My personal opinion ... Nc trying to improve the game but they actually
ruing it, they trying to invent some new spells(so there will be no spaces at the spells' list t.t) like Arioco said the 'Pot decay' isn't so bad - and probably can be removed with 'Remove curse' ... mages get screwed after all ,
and this game is loosing it's fun :( unless you are a knight ><.
