7/10 - Test Server Publish Announcement

Some graphical fixes are being applied to the Lineage US Test Server. The patch download for this is several megabytes of data. If you connect to Test Server, you will receive this information as your client patches. The download process for this data could take several minutes or longer on slower connections.

Meaning new graphics for si/hv and knight and mage?
Doesn't apply to me..... i don't have a knight or a male mage. I don't go to si or hv o.o.

no i think the graphical changes are for glitchhes i found some glitches in wl after the update, the land would stick and name would drag and stuff dun think its the people it may be hopefully its my prob though lol

I think it is the new male knight and mage look. If it were a glitch or somethin it would be on ken and dep too wouldnt it? they are probably gonbna test out the new look

it is possible to write a filter to block transmission between a server from a specific ip

however, r nc staffs that smart to do it? or r they even smart enough to hire someone to write the filter?

we'll see as the banning rampage continues

they werent upgrading the graphics in the wl... i was there today and the ground still gets stuck... and would anyone like to inform me what this filter and ban stuff is about? im not sure but maybe there is a message deleted...

if u wanna know how they do the filter..
u can probably ask amer o.o
he can ban anyone from accessing this site...
but then again...if he tells u exactly what he's gonna do..
maybe ppl can counter it..so i dont think he'll tell (all of the details)

there are some very easy ways to get the IP address of the person accessing, seeing this site is programmed in ASP, then i assume its something like request.servervariables("HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR"). Sorry amer if this ruins your filtering program, feel welcome to delete it :) just thought i shed (sp?) some light on this source of fascination (sp?) lol as you can tell spelling isn't my strong suite (sp?) lmao.

It's actually Request.ServerVariables("REMOTE_ADDR")

However, a firewall is a much more efficient way of blocking the IP. Then you don't need to worry about the web server making a decision.

remote_addr? that's what i used to use as well but sometimes the two values are different and HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR gives the correct one everytime. But this could just be the case with the network i'm working on. I know this is the case with the computers hosted by Shaw (the cable network in BC, Canada) i just tested this with both of home comps and http_x_fowarded_for gave the right one. But hey, whatever you're using seems to work so keep at it lol.
