Updated Magic Guide

I had a few minutes to update the Magic Guide. It has all the new mage spells and all 5 levels of Elven Spells with elements for both.

Test server players, I would appreciate if you could send us screenshots of any new monster drops *and* any new item drops from the old monsters. If possible please send them as .JPG or in a .ZIP -- the .TGA files are big :)

the spell Holy Weapon is really great, but... do increase the damage on Rapier or SLS (weapons that have x2 damage on undeads)?

Another question, the spell WEAK ELEMENT what shows, the class of magic that can we use to do the best damage on the target? if i use the spell on a mop and show me FIRE element, have i use FIRE magic to do the best damage on the target?

I'm assuming yes, since it's called weak element, it probably tells you the element it is weakest too.

Common sense has a lot to play in it too. If it is a flaming monster, and it says WATER you could easily assume that water would hurt it. If you haven't done that yet, go check it and it would immediately tell you the answer.

Lol..... anyone has any idea on which of these spells will be available at a store? Because I got a lvl 46 mage who's s till lacking so many spells... things like tornado (got to get it now that its cheap) and blizzard. And I expect half of these spells to be so expensive as to be unreachable for a poor int/wis mage like me.

Woot Im already seeing positive result from my Blizzard rehabilitation Im playing Warcraft 3 and its pretty SWEET I do not have any LinCrack withdrawals im sorry for UltimaDragon he had taken too much of NC's bad drug and I doubt there will be a cure for his very serious illness. Thanks to Blizzard I also have enough time to go to sleep and get back on what I used to do best drawing concept characters me and some programmer friends are gonna be working on a possible online game in the future i hope to rival NC and We will make a database banning all NC staff from accessing our game especially the Garriot's thanks.

BTW *Meaningless news should be deleted* ( I guess I started this Im the real Slim Veggie)

where do i send screeenshots. i play on test and i got screenshots of cyclops droping leather gloves, trogloyte dropping spellbook(mana Drain), screen shot of Iron golem dropping crystal gloves, and elmore wizard dropping staff of force, etc.

Amer, will this spell allow elves to unsummon only their elementals or any players elementals? If, this means that they can unsummon a mage's summons, I can see a whole new exodous of players from Lineage. I have an elf and a mage so I suppose all mages better make elves to get revenge if this spell in fact does affect a mage's summons.

Anyway, if you could clarify this, I'm sure a lot of mages would appreciate it.

holy weapon, tho it gives u a box in the upper right corner, seems to only effect the weapon u r currently weilding cuz it says sumthin like in my case, "ur +11 tsurugi glows silver for a moment" sumthin like that

gogeta give 1 of em to my elf lol i still havnt even seen a lesser elemental and i think return to nature works on any players summons.

hehe ya oldman i wasnt sure if i was the only 1 that noticed that =p

Dark Elven drops Elven Wafer (and Elven magic)
Griffen drops Silence and Elven wind crystals
Cyclops drops earthquake and earth magics (Earth Jail, Elven Earth Crystals)
Iron Golem drops Weakness
Death drops Darkness
Undead Wizard thing drops Cone of Cold
Fire Valley mops drop Fire Crystals , Bless of Fire being common
Dv Skeletons drop Elven Crystals

Can't find Sosc book , nor can I find lesser summon or summon for Elves , I was told Dark Elven drop lesser Summon but i have yet to see it.

Hi people. I'm new but I check lineagecompendium every day before playing. JUst thought I would mention something that everyone seems to be wondering. Does the spell Holy Weapon make any difference when cast on a blessed weapon. Well I was hunting on test server in wastland the other day with my trusty new +3b-kat and a passing elf cast holy weapon on me for killing some bugbears that were whomping him. So I tried it out on zombies ghouls skels & skel archers and I couldn't see any difference myself. Seemed to take the same number of hits as before. Now this was just me and maybe we need to do some more in depth testing, but it does not seem to add any bonus. My theory is that Holy Weapon spell is basically blessing a weapon, if you don't have it already, its great, if you do have it, no harm done. I haven't done any testing with a sls or rap yet so maybe someone wants to donate one to a good cause.

ya i have a lvl 8 mage...i bought like 200 lvl 1 scrolls and put 100 sheild, 50 holy weapon, 25 ebolt, and 25 ice dagger =p i sat in an inn room with blue pots to make them all in like 5 mins hehe

Holy Weapon adds 1D20 to any weapon. I wrote about it on the Lineage boards.

First there are 3 Undead flavors
Those effected by mith/silver/ori
Those not effected by mith/silver/
Demons

Blessed weapons only effect Demons , 1D20
Silver/Mith weapons only effect Monsters which hate Silver/Mith (these mops are damaged when healed)
Ori weapons only effect Monsters which hate Silver/Mith and Demons

Holy weapon gives any weapon 1D20 vs. all flavors , if a weapon has it already then you get very small bonus (+1 or +2) in that flavor. There is also a hit bonus given (at least to bows, which get no bonus to damage, but then again Elves get a range rapier).

Blessed Weapon replaces Enchant Weapon , adding +3 damage and +3 Hit , and can be targeted on any ally (or enemy if you are one of those 8 Int mages). Blessed Weapon when used on a bow gives +3 Hit bonus, nothing else.

Now you want to have some fun -

Fire Elemental Elf + Rapier + Blessed Weapon + Str + Holy Weapon + Animal Cracker

That is an elf that goes though Dv skeletons like a hot knife through butter.

Sieges
Dex Elf + Wind Magic + Dex + Mith arrows + Blessed Weapon + Animal Cracker

This elf does more damage than Tsu , +7.

Hey lost - Did you miss when Mel wrote up those Vet Q&A's? I'm sure he said blessed weapons had a small undead dmg bonus (not as big as silver/mith/ori).

Oh and ghouls were dmg'd more by blessed than by silver (Technically they're not undead) - So they'd be in your demon catergory.

Also are orc zombies the only mops in your 'undead but not affected by silver' catergory? ... how you spell catergory, that's not right surely...
