Shaman NPC

Lineage Playforum (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051004&kid=1687) reports a new NPC, the Shaman, appearing on Korean test server.

This new NPC tells you a series of commandments. If you agree to them, you get 1000 added to your lawful. Roughly translated, they are:

Your name is your face, so preserve the honor of your name.
Do not hurt your neighbor with harmful words.
Your property on Aden is to only be traded within Aden.
The land of Aden is a peaceful place, please be peaceful. [This kind implies "People play Lineage for fun, so don't ruin the game for everyone."]
Always consider your neighbors.
Do not steal property from others.
Do not cheat and lie to your neighbors.

theirs probly coding to test if you do them. i dont know how she knows if you lie r cheat but stuff like PKs you lose your 1000 ponts

Hell in Lineage *is* real. We dont have it on our servers - but Korean servers have had the hell punishment system for months.

These should be put in the newbie areas so newbies can start out lawfull. It's ridiculous that a new char starts being 0 lawfull, because if you loose just 1 point from that you go chao, yet to become lawfull you need to gain 800 points. That's a lot for a newbie.

For those interested; when I started my first lineage character (a mage) I started by looking around the town (TI). I noticed you could hit the birds, so I hit the birds to see what would happen, and they flew away. (this made me loose some lawfull points and thus made me chaotic, but at that time I didn't notice this) After that I tried talking to some NPCs, but they all said things along the line of: "We don't do business with the likes of you!" So I was like: "What did I ever do?" Then I left the town to the north, and (because I was chao) a werewolf came at me and killed me. Not realising that hitting the birds had made me chaotic, this general hostile nature of both the shopkeepers and monsters was quite traumatic for my newbie self.

So this first lineage experience of mine is why I consider it dumb that new characters start out at 0 lawfull. Just one mistake and they are chaotic.

Oh yeah, after my mage got killed by the werewolf I made a knight instead. And that knight lasted 5 seconds before getting killed by a blue skeleton and a giant scorpion that someone had dragged into town, needless to say this traumatised me even more. Then I made an elf and got lost in that huge forest. For half an hour I desperately tried to find any sign of civilisation while running from scary spiderpeople and living trees, and then a huge orc with a spear killed me. Looking back, it's quite a miracle I stayed with the game after all these traumatic experiences.

500 for lawful, around 9k for pretty much max blue, and 32767 for max lawful. I had the same problem when I was started. Killed all these animals......they gave experience....instead of dying by werewolves, I died by wolves.

Hell is a crazy place where there are all kinds of strong boss type monsters. Sounds fun huh? Nope.. no items are dropped.. no experience is given.. its just try to stay alive for 5 minutes while all the boss monsters in lineage gang up on you..

500 then, what I mean is you start out being close to the chao side and that is unfair. Why is -1 chao while 1 (or 400) is still neutral? And what is wrong with my spelling? It's a lot better than that of most people you'll find on the internet.

As far as i know if you are full lawful it cant add to your lawful points.. because the full lawful and full chao points are randomly selected.. i am not quite sure but it has something to do with 2 bits of something ... so what i think is 2 bits of the lineage folder is dedicated to you lawful and chao points..
