Lineage Tournaments

Lineage Gaming of Templer Gaming is hosting a lineage tournament. Here is what has been said so far, Full details to be said on friday

Each team can have a combined max level of 130. For example, a lvl 50 knight, lvl 40 elf and lvl 40 mage or a team could have 13 lvl 10 chars to make up 1 team. Each team then is put into a tournament bracket system created by Templar Gaming that will show what team you fight against. If your team wins, you advance. Your team loses, your out until later. At the end there will be 2 teams that fight it out for the title The SUPREME GLADIATORS.
The winning team will recieve prizes! Then all the teams meet in the Killing fields for a Battle Royale!!!
These tournies will be ongoing and in both servers!!
Details of the rules and how to register a team is coming.
The strategies for these tournies will be intense to say the least. Its even possible to have 130 lvl 1 chars on 1 team!!

hm...combined lvl of 130...kinda confusing..
how many teams can be formed??? Hope we can hear more about the news...
I would say 2 knights an an elf...or a mage for para/cancel/heal/rc..etc.

I think since pro is banned and khan is afk, yubgi charyuk enhance and some weakling should team up, or a friends low lvl mage

btw this is an american event, holy cow ^^. Then again, wthe prizes might be fireworks -.-;

Actually this is being hosted by Lineage Gaming supported by Templar Gaming. To verify that teams are with the max lvl requirements, we will be using LinWeb. :)

Oh that was sad. I myself am the fan of the 16 level 8 dex elfs with +7 hunters bows and a level 2 knight with +7 tsu all with -45 ac. I myself think they would win o.0

Hi all, well using our old Age of Empires tournament tools from TemplarGaming we are going to modify them so they fit lineages world, this is our first tournament held in lineage and even though we are not lineage players we will have lineage folks helping us out at Lineagegaming. So far it has been a great success in our orignal game and players demand from us a weekly tournament hosted. I hope you guys enjoy this and want more! We know how much fun tournaments are even without prizes and since Lin dont have that many of them u can look for us we will probably be hosting them more often.

This has nothing to do with NC right? It is organized by someone else... VERY GOOD idea, the kind of events NC should do all the time to keep the game fun and interesting, giving unique items as prices.

I didnt even know this website (the one organizing this thing) before today. Sure nice way to give themselves exposure. Now I wonder, what server will this be in? Hope both of them!

You used to do Age of Empires? I used to play that game soo much back in the days. Even got into some AoE Heaven Tournaments but don't remember any Templar Gaming Tournies. Did you do the one where Maimin_matty won a trip to Rome?

We arent doing a test server tourny at this time. Maybe for the second tourny we will. Yes I remember Maimin_Matty !!! hehe Templar started its line of tournies when Age of Conquerers came out. Becareful about talking about Aoe when around templars lol next thing you know this becomes an rts forum. Btw Im still a Sysop at zone.com my name is +Warf_5 Im also in the tournament committee at the zone as are several Templars.

so can we use potions in this tourney? braves? wafers? greens? how about spells? i think you shoul dhave a tourney on test too :) it would be lotsa fun. Wouldn't a lvl 48 dex elf (with +7yumi or better), a lvl 48 knight, and a lvl 34 mage rule? especially if u can pump pots. but however u setup ur team i think a mage is of essence

There will be no heal pots in the tourny. Use of other pots, spells etc will be all announced friday along with the guidelines. hmm I dont know u could have 1 lvl 48 knight and 4 lvl 20 mages healing him !

When you goto Lineage Gaming, at some point you will need to register at the forums. The brackets and signups will all be there and we at lineage gaming will be needing ppl to sign up there teams etc etc...

all u gotta do is get 26 level 5 con knights to get there hp to 200 and full lawful so basically lvl 26 con knights to lvl 20 then delvl them to lvl 5 and hp gamble so they have like 200hp at lvl 5 and they would own u all

i think there should be a weight limit for each class and they can carry whatever they want. Like knights will have less max carry weight.
and I think the best way is get 2-3 lvl 32 mages and freeze up half or more of their opponents so they have less targets. Then just surround the frozen guy with a few knights with +tsu ^^

hahaha 130 newbie char (lev 1), thats funny, a mage with fb can slaughter them all (well if not most of em get fried), a mage with blizzard can kill most in 1 shot, but tooo baadddd blizzard does NOT work on PvP >.< (and can u belive blizzard is a lev 8 spell and cant even kill a slime

I am sure there will be lamers as there were in the first Lineage tournaments, that I, Spatz (linnation) and Yammie (WOL) hosted. As far as i know we made the first tournaments in Lineage history and we didnt have too many rules. But still there were players doing lame stuff.

I am sure they will do it here again. Also in Lineage you can never have everyone online. Some people dont even sign-up and you have to put them in the tourny cause people who signed up dont show up that day.. So its a pain in the ... to manage tournaments in Lineage. I am sure Spatz and Yammie would agree..

Btw, please DO NOT make any mistakes in the tourny or these players will eat you alive!!

I wish you good luck with this.. I hope it turns out better than ours. If you like you can contact me for my suggestions..

i remember that tourny, was it the 1 where cabron collected a pot of adena for entry fee and that 1 mage with the like 100 sosc won lol...i was pissed cuz i paid and never got summoned into the arena..i wonder if ep 11 gonna be out b4 this starts =p elfs with all their party magic will be top pick..and wow that would change everythin..water elfs can full heal, earth buff the armor, fire enchant the knights and wind for themselves pluckin away at peeps too, 4 lvl 32 elfs, 1 of each element sounds good to me hehe

Using LinWeb to be sure that all people are of the level they claim is doable..if you aren't on LinWeb, you can't enter...simple as that...^^...Personally, I think it's a grand idea...and with IronClaw running it, we all know it'll be run fairly.

130 - 52 = 78
now divide this by 4
78 / 4 = 19 with 2 left o.o
so okay..i'll use the remain 2 for a lv 2 str knight or lv 2 dex elf

so overall i'll have:
01 lv 52 knight (with dk morph =P)
19 lv 04 mages (using ebolts!)
01 lv 02 str knight / dex elf

hahah...19 mages ebolting u all at once hahaha...
let's count...1 ebolt is like what? 8 dmg? o.o
8 x 19 = 152 dmg
HAHAHAHA with the lv 52 dk morph knight to take care of the rest

No no Teams that win continue to advance and fight in matches and continue to fight as long as they win. If you lose your match, your team can still fight in the Battle Royale at the end! Also, if ppl enjoy the tourny , like we expect they will, we will start another tourny soon after. :)

Man u guys are not thinking straight. This is what I would do, but b4 i say that I'm here to Start the Lazyrodigy team, and it's good to have a tournament b4 the day i quit so whoever joins my team will split my 25mil items with whoever else b4 my quitting day. Here is smart Idea, which is to have about 25 levl 4 strength knights and 2 mages. That way you could put all ur armor ande verything. and it wouldn't be very different from other level knights except you can have 8 knights on 1 player, so u'd do about 300 damage a second with your combined force and equipment. The 2 mages are good for ebolt and heal I guess. That's all for now... post here to join my lazyprodigy tournament team.

Since everyone is throwing in ideas, I will offer one:
One level 28 mage, two 50+ knights.
Concept: mage freezes or paras all but one opponent so knights can team up on him, haste and heal the knights while fighting, w-b any opposing knights, cancel, etc. After one goes down and others begin to thaw, repeat the process.
Only problem with this strategy would be against a team of many mid-to-low lev combatants.
