Ancient Items unsealed

The Sealed Ancient Great Sword was dropped by Cyclops on Forgotten Island. When unsealed, the Ancient Great Sword is two-handed, 20/35, +3 to hit, Knight/Prince only, weight 80. They tried to use ndai on it, but it didn't work. That doesn't mean that n-dai is impossible, but it is certainly strange.

The Ancient Scale Mail is -14 AC, Prince only, weight 270. Attempts to zel did not work. It didn't blow, it just didn't zel. The same goes for the Ancient Plate Mail (-15 AC, Knight only, weight 280), which we reported earlier.

The Ancient Crossbow, on the other hand, was successfully dai'd up to +7. (That could just mean that safe was +6 and they used a b-zel to get from +5 to +7). The items is 3/3, Elf only, +2 to hit, weight 50. And here's the key: it is *one handed*.

One other piece of info that we saw was that with the introduction of the new level 15 quests, the old ones disappeared. Mages are pretty much going crazy on Korean Test with the question "How exactly are mages supposed to hunt without SOM?!". Of course, this is on Korean Test, so we can't make any conclusions, but it's an interesting bug :)

Ok well what if like the ancient scrolls monsters there dropped relic scrolls of enchant armor and weapon, that could only enchant the sealed items after they are unseale. That would be pretty sweet. +9 ancient great sword would dominate all :)and be worth a +12 BTSu and +12BKAT and +10 tshirt and cop :P hehe.

The Ancient Crossbow will be good for con elves who want to use a bow. But it has no +dmg, so Yumi will still be a good choice for dex elves.

These items are fairly better then the ones in the game now in ways and are worse in ways too. The good thing about the cross bow is that an elf can use a better glove than bracer becuase of the +2 to hit and a shild. The bad thing is that it will always do 3 less damage than a yumi. Another bad thing is that there wont be many +8 or +9s so you lose 3-5 damage when useing this. You can use a shild but ac doesn't work as well for elves as knights. Don't know why.

The anchent sword cant be daied as I understand. If you rember each + on a wepion adds 1 to damage and I think 1 to hit. So its a good wepion but not as good as it looks.

The Scale mail seems like a +8 ecm thats like 3-4m or a + 7epm thats like 2.5m I think. Or even a +6 c-p or +5d-s-m

I think these items are too expansive to get over an +2 or 3
I whould use b-zels

This again proves that I was right that other post that these items are not godly. Still in a way they are nice.

The reason why the bow can be Dai , and the other weapons can't is Dai on bow doesn't effect damage. Damage is based on arrows, Dai adds to hit.

What is funny , I had 15+ damage Yummy bow , and was dropping knights like flies on the Test Server before the Orc Scout morph was put in.

someone asked why make DS if these weps are in game. The reason of the need or want for DS is not only high dmg but the double dmg to dragons. hence dragon slayer :) but this would be a good wep all around for hunting :) be nice if they could be daied and zeled

Every enchant on a weapon adds +1 damage and every 2 enchants on a weapon adds +2 to hit, so I'f a Great Axe was +9 it'll be 10+9/16+9, thats only 25 damage to large monsters and +4 to hit that means the Ancient Great Sword is the best sword for large monsters and it has +3 to hit so its a pretty good weapon...
B-Tsurugi + Ancient Great Sword = Ultimate combo...
I want to see the Necromancer Robe >_<
A dex Elf with a +9 Elven Shield and the Crossbow, o_O

Shayde you need to remeber that each enchant of a weapon is guaranteed damage, then add the guaranteed damage of the dice roll.
a +9 rap would do a guaranteed 11 damage. 9+1+1=11 (2 dice i believe) whether on small or large mop. A +10 dagger would have a minimum damage of 11 also. (1 dice)

Now the ancient great sword does 20/35 but what is the dice roll. If it uses 2 dice then it will only do 2 damage guaranteed. Although it has a chance of doing more max damage its base would be considerably lower.

just keep your soms from before the quest. o_o. I have 2 extra, maybe I can actually sell them. Personally though they should keep all the quests, too few quests as it is. I think they will keep because in a previous news article it said that the prince gets the new quest AFTER completing the first quest.

20/35 +3 to hit= Not great, but definitely good against large monsters

+7 b-tsurugi- 23/17 +9 to hit (Tsur is +2 to hit originally, right?)

+9 Rapier- 20/15

+7 DragonSlayer- 25/32 +7 to hit.

I got a great idea for a new quest item for mages. First I think that scrools of remove curse should work like the spell. It will make knights a little stronger vs mages but Para is just cheap. Also I think cansle shoulnt work on ken. Only in sieges and pk servers.

This is my idea for the quest. LVL 40+ mages should go to a NPC maybe one in oren tower. They should get a hard quest of like 5-15 items. some of these items should be a silver sepent scale from a green raima and one from a blue, doll from a red ghost and one from a green one. Scull of death. Salamander scale. That lure thingie of that electric fish. Stuff like that.

The mage whould go all over aden and collect these. In the end he/she whould bring it to TI. Talk to both gunter and the other G magic guy and recive a scrool that teleports them into a maze of mirrors. At the end they should kill a minotor and recive a very cool ring.

The ring should be able to be made nutral, chao or lawfull but only once by not doing anything for it to stay nutral or to bring it to a lawfull or chao temple and talk to the Evil/Good god.

If the ring is nutral than you can only wear it when your nutral and all your nutral spells will have 2x the power.

If your chao you can only wear it when your chao and all your chao spells will have 2x the power.

If your lawfull ... you get the idea.

You should drop this ring when your nutral chao or lawfull even when full at the same rate. But you should only drop it at a low chance if you die with no MP. After you die it should disapear in 10 mins if you dont pick it up. Only you should be able to pick it up. If it disapears you can do quest over.

So what do you think? Will this evan out the mage class?

Doomscythe if you use the bow as club it gets the bonus to damage , otherwise it gains a to Hit bonus. Bow rely on arrows , hence the reason why mith arrows were updated.

Look at all the happy faces.. trust me people.. the ancient items will probably drop as frequent as ogre blood, with the difference that the mobs you need to kill are 50x stronger. In other words.. you need to pledgehunt again and again, wasting heaps of money on pots, before you have a -small- chance to ever find an ancient item.
