Ep 11 on test!!!
IN TESTING

NOTE: This is a list of potential changes for Lineage. There is the possibility that these items will not be published to the US servers as they are listed here, or that they might not be published at all. The changes listed here are still in testing, and are subject to change or removal from the list.

Test Server can be taken offline at any time unannounced, during the testing process. Frequent resets and offline maintenance occurrences are a necessary part of our testing. Please do not contact Support regarding the Test Server becoming unavailable.

Episode 11: Oren

  • Oren art and map files have been added. Included in this publish are the Ivory Tower, Ivory Tower Village, Crystal Cavern dungeon, Border Fortress, and a wasteland filled with undead Elmore soldiers from the famed war with Elmore.
  • Additional magic spells are available with this episode. The magic update includes changes/additions to regular magic and the introduction of Elven magic. Elven magic (also called elemental, or spirit, magic) can be learned by Elves at the Mother Tree or in the training room at the Ivory Tower. Items related to learning and casting spirit magic spells include elemental crystals, which serve as spellbooks, and spirit gems, which are like magic gems for regular magic.
  • The NPC Ellyonne can instruct Elves on the use of spirit magic. Elves can learn the common line, and at level 30 may choose an elemental line to specialize in. Ellyonne can be found in the Ivory Tower.
  • New hunting grounds have been added, including areas of the Ivory Tower (4th through 8th floor).
  • New player items have been added: armor sets for each class, and special amulets.
  • Demon Armor and Death Knight Armor is added.
  • Bow of Sayha is added.
  • New loot items have been added to certain creatures. These include: magical gloves, magical boots, magical belts, magical amulets, elemental orbs, and great swords.
  • Bius in Oren will sell a map of the area.
  • New monsters related to the Oren area and both new player zones have bean added.

Known Issues:

Macintosh clients do not currently display or activate the new learned spells properly.
There are various known issues with the overall spell functionality.
Chances are that the live servers will get this update on tuesday.

I recommend you look at our June and May news for info about ep 11. Here is some links to our info on the new spells and items

The elemental magic is mentioned in the update. We leave it to the players to discover the rest about it. We are also wanting to see if players can understand the system with very little info from us, because sometimes players will not go to teh web site to look up information on something.

Maybe this update..they should put away pot delay and -3hit bonus on SOM....if not my mage will die in OREN soon...................

Well the past update frustrates me and i have to restart my mage.hope this time they dont jump on me by surprise with funny new rules and i have to restart my elf ...........

an npc in ivory 3f talks about demon armor
he say that if u kill demon it might drop a "piece" of the armor
so i think u can collect it off demon O.o...
maybe same goes to dk

oh yea mel, about elven magic, will my elf get 0hp once i try to learn the 2nd elemental line? hehe

lol.. this reminds me so much of politics...NC is really smart.. see the way i see it alot of people would want to play lineage in the summer so they start paying may or april and on those months nc brings updates that no one will like but they cant do anything about it since they just paid.. and if they quit they loose their money... and now those peoples accounts will expire soon in august or september so they are bringing good updates so if they dont renew they leave the game on a good note and will return.. its simple to figure out what NC is doing

elves get both regular spells and elven spells
regular spells every 8 lvls
and new elven spells every 10 lvls

as to un-nerfing SOM and removing at least orange delay, i'm all for it (in case no one knew, I play mage)

the class only armor sets sound great, as long as the "mage set" they refer to isn't the current Wizard set with pathetic ac and +50 mp bonus.

Also, i'm getting the feeling that it isn't just the ac of the character, but also the material the armor is made from that makes a difference in damage...
-38 ac mage with wiz set takes more damage than a -27 ac elf with ecm...
seems strange to me...

dk set draw back: any players can target you WITHOUT holding ctrl key, and can kill you without any penalty (as in going chao and die by guards or even turn pink o.o)
demon set draw back: you'll lose alignment points as you kill monsters instead of gaining, and you'll have to hold ctrl to hit every monster

gigi u sure those are rite? or jus rumors? o.O i thought they wre only rumors...... first is pot delay now its res delay guess what that means? it gives bosses more time to kill everyone so no on can res =) jus means more ppl gunna be ressing -.- which also means more ppl to share drops with T.T oh well everything seems to be ok still =)

#14 It's simple to figure out that you're looking too much into it. They're not out to screw people. Players just whine too much and on top of that, lots of them do stupid things.
#23 What's so strange? You're a Mage. Mages are weaker than normal people. That is also why they cannot use heavy armors. If Mages could use items that were as good as the armor the other classes use, why would anyone use the other Classes? Is everyone stupid here?
#30 Rumors and nonsense. Not even NC is stupid enough to make Armors with such stupid drawbacks.

If everyone is getting a new Armor set, that's fine, but for the Prince/ss Class, who didn't already have one, we're still going to be that much farther behind everyone. Wake up NC. (I know Elves don't have an Armor Set either, but they get Elven Armor, which all go to +6 safely, which is far better than any item set could be.)

Vail if u want an armor set play a knight or mage -.- or maybe a elf Princes can control castles and they get lots of money from the castles -- they can buy so many pots with their money and if u have a different char say maybe a knight u can buy +7-+8 items with the money u make o.O

When you release an Episode , that makes you feel like a complete newbie , running all over the town to check every building , and go "OMG WOW" ... I was in Oren Tower with my elf (wis elf) , and figuring out (and reading the story behind "Spirit magic" was awesome... I had tons of debates about which is the most effective elf.. I got to say the ability to change paths is a bright one, the Oren tower is beautiful , (wish it would snow in Oren town). It was well worth the wait.
And getting dropped spellbooks , which I had no clue were even going to be released was alot of fun.

there's a elven magic path npc on 2nd floor i think o.o...
where u can choose path, change patch, and get info on paths :)

vail...
if u really need to know the set drawbacks, help someone or work urself at it to kill demon/dk to get a piece of the demon/dk set
then collect all the pieces and then wear them all - -:...then see what's the drawback :)

though i think no one in korean test have the complete set right? o.o

Vail i never said they were out to screw people.. i am saying they are using the same tactics that the politicians use.. begging of the term they make dumb laws no one will like.. near the end they make good populars laws so they get voted in again...same thing with nc.. when alot of people renew their account they put in pump delay and the more dmg thing to mages and elfs and prince/princess now near the end of summer when peoples account gonna expire they put in good spell books and a new episode which people will like.

I would just like to know how come ghosts and deat are so hard to hit? I would also like to know why you can't random tele in the Crystal Cavern? I mean come on what is the point for that? Other then these questions I'm pretty pleased with the new additions.
