Korean live servers kill Valakas

Reported by Lineage Playforum (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051003&kid=1074): Motivated by the foreign servers (that would be us) recent dragon slayings, these Koreans felt they had something to prove and decided to go kill Valakas. It appears that an army of mages ebolted Valakas to death.

Pictured above is ring of fire element, tsurugi, resurrection book and belt of mind and a few other nice drops. ^^

Ethnicity has nothing to do with it. They have better updates, better ac, server been around longer so more high + items. More time to make + weaps. More people to trade with, and to pk for them to drop. I can go on and on....

Amer, is this your opinion, or is this what the Playforum says? This is puzzling, since, as Cruelgame says, the Korean servers have gotten all the updates, better ac, better weaps, etc. Why would they feel the need to compete with the US servers?

Regardless, I still say congratulations to them. They've shown time and time again that teamwork -- rather than individualistic tactics -- can accomplish much.

and i think that boxster might get pk-ed or something cause other ppl want all those good stuff too...o.o....

I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing, but I DON'T see a dead Valakas. Just some mages shooting at him, some dead poeple in the firelands, and just some high priced items, that the person could have already had. Let's see a SS of Valakas Dead. US DEP SERVER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm. Nina, what you say makes sense. My initial thought was "Why do the Koreans need to prove ANYTHING to us?" Heck, they've got the highest ranking player ever on one of their servers, they have teams (!) of players, quite a number of whom are ranked 50+. They've got nothing to prove to us; quite the contrary, if they think of us at all, it's more than likely with contempt.

OTOH, there is that long-standing -- and unfortunate -- history between Korea and Japan. It would make sense that the Koreans try to "one-up" the Japanese, even though the Japanese had already killed Valakas. But then again, given the advantages of longevity of server(s), better updates, better ac and hp, etc., I still don't see why the Koreans would feel a need to prove anything to ANYONE, even the Japanese.

so if they killed it with e bolt means took them a while since 99% mr and 9.5hp any info on all the drops cause the one in ss looks like 3% of the total drop

Elemental resistance has been added to monsters. So, for example, a fire monster would receive less damage from a fire-based spell, but extra damage from a water-based spell.
10 new spells have been added (in addition to Greater Haste). The level 1 and 2 spells will be available from the town store.

Wouldnt You use Ice Dagger O.o?

Ok it looks like i should clear this up for you guys. Elemental resistnaces and the new spells where only added the the korean test server. the live korean servers dont have them yet. So the only spell that could be is e-bolt. Also if you looked at the spell efect on the damn dragon you would see that its ebolt snice ice dagger shatters and ebolt wraps it self around its target

on the dead valakas picture.. it says they killed him in 2 min...
either that or they found him in 2 min...

direct translation of the first part of that korean thing is "valakas was captured in only 2 min"... i duno waht the last word means...
its saying "after capturing him, it was rather _____?______"

if they mean kill by "captured"... den they killed him in 2 min o.O

also ghast = not all armor, and wouldn't c-l be strnoger? maybe they are just trying to prove somethin that they can beat valakas just using ebolts... lvl 1 spellz...

This is because if u use c-l u will spend ur mp really fast!
And AC on valakas isn't really important cause u usually die in only 1 hit ^^

The reson they use e-bolt unstead of a stronger spell. is it takes less mp. here let me help you understand. e-bolt does about 15 damge at 20% mr. and then call lighting does 40 (i think thats close) but e-bolt takes 1/5 the mp. So that would make it 90 damage vs 40 damage.

The spell IS e-bolt. If you look carefully, ice dagger is pretty much a isoscoles triangle, while e-bolt is more of a diamond shape. Sort of...close enough.....but it's definitely not ice dagger.

How do u create Dragon Armor(fire,water,earth,wind)?
I know that u need scales and b-zels, but how exactly you combine those items and is there a special npc that makes dragon armor?
