There's some new stuff on Nue too: Lots of anims and things :D

Also looks like their updating a lot of client stuff (char selection, server selection etc) - Tho' I can't be sure cos I can't read asian languages :(

they can use bows, its just obviously not meant to be their primary weap. looks awsome ^^thanks amateras.

for female: the second one i think is the passive magic animation, fifth for the aggressive (looks kinda like the mop de except they are using hands) the fourth is for the shuriken!

for male its: fourth passive magic, tenth aggressive magic, third shuriken.

woo! :)

Edit: maybe iam wrong, nue called one thats not posted shuriken, and the one i called shuriken they called spell directioned attask or somethihng. but still awesom :P

I think the only common weapons that Dark Elves will have with the other class is the bladed ones (Swords/Daggers).

From these sprites, it appears that they won't be able to use any of the Bows currently in the game, or any of the blunt weapons or polearms. Just my programmer's interpretation. However, if they cheat and use the sword animation for a club then *shrug*

You guys have got to go to the link that Scaleb (#13) posted. From there you can go to any of the other classes animation pages. None of them actually show anything, but it is clear that there will be new animations - ACTS!!!! Can you believe it! The act of waving your hand is listed as a possible animation!!! At least it is on the Prince/Princess page.

I am getting way too excited!!!! drool....

they will still be able to use the weapons that almost everyone uses: rapier, katana, etc. just not the big stuff, that most cant use anyway. and yea it appears they cant use old bows, but maybe they can, because the old elf sprites didnt have one for crossbow, just bow. maybe the de only has one for crossbow and not bow but both weaps use it.

btw, it looks like they are updating the chars as well, look at the shadows of the new figures on nues lineage too o_o new elf and mage look yummy :)

lol, they even have spots for act's!!!!

I think that the new animations are going for all and it is a grat idea!! On Nue's page the normal classes have new animation(small sword, large sword, cheer, etc.) and it really reminds me of that 3dlineage clip that was released a while ago... so I opened it and as it turns out it has those emotion things and sword models that are all different (though this just shows short/large swords) and it would be extremely helpful in duels. --Having a clue of what an enemy is using would be nice--

Uhmm, everybody... am I the only one who noticed their crossbow animation only uses one hand? A LONG time ago people said xbow might go 1-handed...perhaps if they are redoing char animations it is finally happening? Or perhaps only DE's get to use it one handed (a balance for their low HP, giving them an extra 8 ac from ES while safely enchanted)? Just seems odd they would make a ONE HANDED animation for the xbow, instead of making it the same animation as a regular bow ^_^

I guess im gonna 18 str 16 dex 8 con and the rest dont matter. Or 16 st and 18 dex. But prob 18 str for double sword. And why do all male elves fight(punching) like pansies (w/o weapons)i mean come on NC i know DE are evil but it looks like he's gonna kick someone in the mommie-daddie part. the female elves got cool effects in everything. It would have been cool if NC gave DE's a double kick thing

ok now the question i have is morphs. as you can see from the animations, im guessing their attack speeds are going to be quite different depending on the weapon. look how slow they use that xbow. look how fast they use those daggers. or look at the double sword speed if indeed it hits twice as the animation would appear to. now... what morph can you throw a shurikan in? will they let you use an archer morph? they shouldnt... so are there going to be new mops that throw them that you can morph into? or claw users... be any melee char? i seriously hope NC planned ahead in that aspect... remember how long it took elves to get a decent bow morph (and they still dont have a good 50-51 morph -_-)

In my opinion I highly doubt that the dark elves will hit 2 times with the double swords. Can you imagine the damage? I know that the physics of it call for it to hit twice but for damage like that they could just say you use both in one attack -.-

glad someone (#47) noticed that the male hand to hand attack animation looks weak...looks like a low blow, below the equator, etc.
did anyone point out that on the CLAW animation, both have 2 claws and they are only using one hand when they have 2 0.o
the rest are fine, but the one i like is the female hand to hand one...roundhouse!

In no way am I calling you a liar, just that I think whomever sent that screenshot to be posted, might be fibbing a bit.
I am going to assume that the ability for a player to be a Dark Elf on the Korean Test servers has been.... say.... 3 days. That screenshot, therefore, suggests that someone got to level 50 as this new character in 3 days. Is that possible even for a knight? That just seems insanely fast to level any character, that no one has yet played, to that level. Also, there is just something not right to me about how the graphics look in that screenshot... I could be totally wrong here, but it all just looks faked to me (albeit a relatively acceptable one).

Highly doubt many of the normal elven equip is wearable(is that a word?) to us. Maybe a rapier or kat will and a few human armors probably. No normal bows i think. I think they don't do double hits but it just looks better that way cause what the point of having 2 swords to hit with 1? But u dont get to hit them twice, cause the damage of both swords added together is already really high.

That ss prob a gm showing some things, btw doesn't the DE class come out july 1 or 2 to the korean test servers?

I have like 3 slots open cause i deleted my characters so i guess im gonna make a female and male, just cause teh female animation is cooler.

They do swing that dagger pretty fast, imagine that hasted, they could probably run around using a Mailbreaker as a main weapon. That would be funny, they could only hunt undead though lol. That whole doublesword thing isn't them swing 2 seperate swords. The double sword is a new weapon type, therefore they probably don't have very high damage (think 6/6 or something like that) but if they hit twice it would be like 12/12 damage which isn't all that unreasonable.

Already got a name for my lady de, in reserve :)(on 2 servers.)
I'm assuming that de will be a stronger character for the game, in regards to sieging and hunting...than the normal elf is capable of at this time...but if they are gona update the current elf's,then that assumption may change my view of them, later on; time will tell,with experimentation's. :)

Frankly, the weak "low" blow made by the male DE is alot deadlier than the "fancy" roundhouse sprite movement. That kick he does is designed to pop knee caps efficiently, easily, and quickly. A roundhouse kick to the face might knock a person down, but probably won't snap any necks anytime soon, because necks are flexible. On the otherhand, knees only bend one way... so...

i hope this doesn't make the current elves become obsolete. i'll bet DE dish out more damage, but regular elves have higher hp (12/18con for elf as opposed to 8/15 con for DE). plus, i don't think DE will get elven magic.....but if they did, that would be KICK ACE.

oh yeah, the new char icons actually look cool now.

i'm pretty sure they will be updating the other char sprites....and it's about time. has anyone seen the outlines on nue's lineage? male knight and princess look like they're gonna be especially awesome.
