Illusion Event Week

Join us on the Depardieu, Ken Rauhel, and Lands of Aden servers for Illusion Event Week! Various NPCs throughout the towns and cities of Aden will offer to sell players “illusionary” items, along with special “illusionary” enchant scrolls – these items will only last a short time, but the price can’t be beat! The event will commence with the weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, June 11th at 10:00 AM CDT and will end with the regular weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, June 18th.

no offense but
considering we seen the illusionary items displayed on loa before it hit a real server
just another way to make players waste money on useless items
unless they make the illusionary have a better base damage
this feature should be a normal feature in the game, not some event

at least NC is trying and giving us something.....
I want my fruit juice......!

I think it's a cool way to play with the enchant system for relatively little adena... Always fun when the focus is taken off the relentless hunt.

Remember that a large group of players have not played that long and still have average items, for these the event will make a big difference since they can hunt on placer where they don't dare to hunt usually and Im sure the "veterans" may enjoy it too :)

I think i can have some nice fun :P~~ but i would like see other events more... o well atleast we get pretty much events now.... only most we allready know... Maybe they dun have fantasy left :P~ ( hire me hire me i got plenty fantasy left ) ;) zz just kiddin.. although i would do it :P what ever dun mention me :D

Well at least NC are trying *new* event.... I for one think its great that they are doing something new to keep the community alive (tho im not gonna waste alot cash on these items).....

this event sounds pretty cool to me, better than some of the other things. even if you are a vet you could make a +9 or +10 wep fairly easily, so for 5 hours you can lvl with a +10 wep. this even isn't so good for ppl with -8x ac and +10 wep, but i don't really see how everyone else can complain so much. gj for once nc ^^

Be glad they are giving events. Stop complainning for once damn. So ignorant and ungrateful. They arent going keep doing events where an orc drops 10,000 adena or a wolf drops b-scrolls. gezz, dont you think they learned by now that those types of events should be rare damn, aholes -.- so ungrateful

Umm, for those that still have questions maybe u should try that link up there!! My only question is what are the stats for the sword? I mean how heavy is it and all??
I guess if you're poly'd U gotta make sure to remember to re-poly before your time is up or U gotta make a new sword.
This sounds like a fun event. Nothing too serious. Nothing that will throw off the balance of the game. Just a chance for people to up their AC for a lil while and hunt with a +9 or better weapon. Good job NC...

i'm poor, so there's no way in hell am i gonna waste my money on semi-baked items or event. it better be some uber items or something that's being sold, at like 5k or something. i barely make 20k a day cos i only hunt for 2 hours, and that's maximum a day...

id like to get 10k from an orc also. some people seem to forget this is a game, not a job, and i think someone who hunts two hours a day (and pays 15 dollars a month) should be able to get nice stuff. look at the bottom line of this event. we went from having cool drop events, to having increased junk drop rate, to now paying for items that disapear 5 hours later. what a waste of adena, any real player would rather spend it on something they actually keep.

In my opinion, anything worth having is worth working for. If this game was easy it wouldnt be much fun. If U can get "rich" hunting for 1 or 2 hours a day Lin would suck. I understand that not everyone has the time or drive to make a lot of adena. That's ok. Not everyone is supposed to be filthy rich. Those that do have a lot of $$$ have worked very hard to get it. It's not fair to just all of a sudden give people who haven't put in as much time and effort as U a bunch of crazy items and adena. Look at it like this: there are players that have fought and died to dragons 20+ times in order to get their b-tsu's, while there were players that have played less than 2 months that got b-tsu's in the Heine drop event. That's like saying, I worked for a company for 30 years and now i'm making top dollar, then some kid fresh out of high school comes in and is making the same amount of money that I am. If U look back, those phat drop events permanently messed up the Lin economy. Items that used to cost millions of adena can now be bought for chump change. U can get very nice items if U know how to hunt efficiently and save. It just takes practice.
That's just my 2 cents...

would be really cool if NC made illusionary items for all the best items in the game

think about it

not like the item will last forever

like an illusionary dragon slayer or illusionary dragon scale mail
then I would not mind this event at all
would be lots of fun...^_^

There is a bow a sword and an armor. I'll see if i can find some screen shots to check their stats.

The Sword is 10/10 dmg weight 40 usable all classes material iron.
The armor is ac7 weight 300 usable all classes material iron.
Couldnt find any old ss of the bow so dunno the stats but im think its 3/3.

flexy24k i was wondering...just how many ppl did get b-tsu from heine event?
Its not like everyone in the game got b-tsus i bet less than 5 ppl got one out of the thousands that played.The only part that it really screwed up was the prices of rings which arn't very great in the first place. Now this event isnt the best and it isn't the first time it showed up ,but it gives people the chance to play around with over enchanting items. Yes in the end it is a waste of money so if you dont want to waste your money dont buy illusionary items.

Umm, 2 people in my pledge got b-tsu's. Not a huge pledge. I think over 10 btsu's dropped. No one knows for sure though. It was just an analogy. Lots of CPM's dropped too.

Samwise, there's pix of the armor and bow on the link from the top of the page. Just no pic of the sword. Thanx for the info on the sword!! =)

Drop events mess up lineage...
Uber items drop to meaningless..
Before heine event I die to dragon lot of time, and only got about 5btsu

Then Heine event is announced. Water rings, Btsu, everything drop.
Messing up the economy for people who actually worked to get their items

10/10 is base sword dmg safely +5
3/3 is bow dmg Safely +5
7ac is the armour safely +4
300Adenas each item
100adenas for each enchant Scroll
sometimes nothing happens

the fake bow is 3/3? isnt a yumi 3/3 with +3 to dmg? so youd need a +11 fake bow to equal a +8 yumi?? what a waste... the base on the swords is just as bad at least make the stuff better than what we already have in the game ;/ if we wanted to make something fake isnt there a webpage that does that... for free?

From the previous time on LoA beta I can tell you that if you put the illusionary item back into storage before you log out it will still be there when you log in, so you don't have to keep buying the items. Do stock up on the scrolls, however, as the enchants are lost on logout even in storage. If you restart while holding an illusionary item it vanishes, so be careful with timing your morphs and know that death will cost you the item. The illusionary items are a tremendous aid to low level characters, and also to anyone who has gone chaotic. A knight can easily gain +5 armor (ac -12) and +7 sword to use while levelling. A newbie elf can have a +7 bow to use. A mage can wear the ac -7 body armor! There is also a contest to see who can reach the highest enchant level and post a screenshot.
