Level 45 Quests - updated

Thanks to ChopWiver who corrected some unclear and misleading parts with our Knight Level 45 Quest guide. You can see it here. Some people were having problems with Jimu saying something unexpected to them. If you have this problem, it's usually because your Lineage installation was at one time used to connect to Test Server. You will need to reinstall Lineage if you have that problem (as NC mentioned twice last week). Using different shortcuts to launch Lineage doesn't mean anything. If you want to play on Test and Live, you need 2 separate directories.

Knight Level 45 Quest

I also just quickly finished the Mage Level 45 Quest and updated the guide with the correct names and pictures for our servers. (Special thanks go out to Sesame for finding the precise locations for the Mage Quest)

Also for the Elf Level 45 Quest, if you aren't getting the drop from the Ancient Apparition, it was suggested on Templar Gaming that you should speak to Heit a second time, after getting the Conch shell.

Ours wasn't super far off. I think just a translation error or 2.

Forciano we are trying to stop the # post thing, It just annoys me. There for, any post that has 1st post, 2nd post, ect in it gets deleted.

Great. After I kill the Guardian 3 times, lose 10%, and waste 300k, we finally have one that's right. -.- I also have a theory that if anyone heals you it won't drop to you as well. Not sure yet though.

pleopod: Translations from the Korean servers are meant as a rough idea of what is coming, not the step-by-step way to complete the quests. If you want the best instructions, try reading what the NPCs are actually saying as you quickly scroll through looking frantically for the next thing to click.

Once a quest comes to the US servers, we get the US version with the English names up as soon as we can. I just compared what we had posted to what ChopWiver wrote and aside from the names and locations (which are decisions the US implementation team made last week) the only "skipped step" was that you had to talk to Jimu before you killed the bandit.

one correction to elf quest after killing apparation you dont have to go back to heit, you can go straight to marshall (saves a btele for some)

ex: I have two feelings about that.

1) I stopped posting quests as main page information and made them links so people (with some self control) would only click the link if they didn't want to do the quest "the right way."

2) Lineage should not make quests so simple that it takes 0.1 seconds for any fansite in the world to post a detailed description of how to do it in a mindless way without the slightest bit of thought. I would normally argue that this is difficult, but I've seen it work in other games where a fansite can only help you a little bit and the challenges are left for the player to figure out on his own individual basis.

You do have to "talk" to Heit twice - there are two parts of the story. If you just get the shell and split - you won't get the drop from the Ancient Apparition.

Once you get the shell, then click on Heit again & he will tell you more of the story - keep reading & good luck. :-)

Oh, yes - almost forgot - you CAN'T be partied when you go down to kill Sin of Sepia. And, additionally, if you don't (for any reason) get the drop on the first try, then escape - go back - try again. Do NOT kill her again - you won't get the drop and all it does is steal your lawful.

EQ had great long, drawn-out quests in it that would take a fansite many many pages of detailed explaination to cover entirely. the problem with the quest items (with the exception of a few classes who had nice ultimate weapons, like the cleric ressurrection "click stick", as opposed to the necro's piece of crap) are real nice until the next quest(s) come out and make them obsolete. however, they are all unique in their own way, which was nice.

I must admit that the quests in Lineage, even without any help, are a bit lame in story. but that is just my opinion and i did them anyway.

Quests are a nice distraction from the quest to get to 50 or 52 wich tends to get boring and nice rewards are giving hehe

Ok, so I killed Sin (elf quest) and went back to Heit with the flute but she complains she's being ignored and doesn't give me the shell.

My best guess is I'm chaotic and she won't deal with me until I'm lawful again (thanks for the clue about escaping, MarkMark, but it was a day late for me). Any suggestions?

I cant seem to get the lvl45 mage quest done. I keep killing the dopple after I feed it bless of eva but its not giving it to me. help plz
